Our Greatest Self does not mean our Perfect Self!
I recently went to see Nick Ortner from “the tapping solution” at the 10th Annual Natural Living Expo. I always love these Expos and have been to about 8 to 10 of them throughout the years. I was first introduced to EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) about 10 + years ago at one of these Expos. As those who know my story, I saw it several more times and I was further drawn to it as a healing tool to increase confidence and speaking your truth and in 2012, I took my first EFT Workshop with Ingrid Dinter and now am an AAMET Accredited Certified Advanced EFT Practitioner and assisting Overwhelmed and Stressed Professionals.
I have never seen Nick before in person and was excited as his presentation was very valuable to my own growth as a person and a practitioner. Please check out his site by looking at his Practitioner list which I am pleased to be one of them.
His talk was very heartfelt, supportive and encouraging to the Practitioners in the room and those who wanted to know more. He was reminding us that our greatest self is not our perfect self. We did some group tapping and he tapped on stage with 3 women on their physical pain which all had results in a very short time.
For me, the main take away from the workshop is that manifesting your greatest self, doesn’t mean that we have to be perfect. Just speaking that our loud and tapping on it was very releasing. Many of us have a hard time with that concept and feel that we must be perfect somehow. We are not born that way but we certainly learn that as we go along in life.
Actually I find that is a common core issue with many of my clients. This does a lot of damage to our self esteem as we are always so hard on ourselves. We think, mistakenly in my opinion that being critical of ourselves is how we improve when actually the opposite is true!
I am reminded of what Louise Hay, said in one of my favorite quotes, “Remember, you have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens”.
The whole nature of EFT and it’s set up, helps each and every one of us, release the hold of our own critical thoughts. Watch what happens to your voice, your confidence and your self-esteem when you release some of your critical thoughts.
I would love to help you manifest your best self by looking at those critical thoughts that have been preventing you from living the life you are meant to lead. Please contact me today for your free, 20 minute confidential consultation.
