Emotional Eating EFT Tapping Script
EFT is most effective when it is specific. Each person has their own emotional eating patterns and triggers.
Emotional eating is just a symptom of the real problem. The main issue is that we use food to tranquilize unresolved emotions that reside in our system.
If you are beating yourself up for your emotional eating, I want to tell you to go easy on yourself. EFT is a way to make peace with it.
Our goal is to reduce or eliminate that sense of ongoing emotional unrest that leads to emotional eating. The process is quite simple and has two parts to it.
When I work with a client, our work is to identify the emotion filled specific events in their life that contribute to their current feeling of unrest that causes them to emotionally overeat and then we collapse their impact through EFT.
This is a general script for emotional eating and it can get you off to a good start.

Emotional Eating Tapping Script
Before beginning, calculate what is the emotion that is associated with your wanting to eat right now. What is the emotion? Examples are frustrated, lonely, neglected, or ashamed. Or what is the thought? Examples are I deserve it; it’s make me feel good: I shouldn’t or I have worked hard all day. What was the environment? Examples are When my friend didn’t call me, After disappointing date or I didn’t do well at work today.
Let’s take that you feel frustrated from a long day. What level is it from a scale of 1 to 10? 10 being the highest. Write it down. If High, then tap on it. Try to be as specific as possible.
While tapping on your KC (karate chop) point, say, the following set up phrase at least 1 time up to 3 times. Even though I feel frustrated or ___________ which is a level of 8 or _______, I deeply and completely accept myself, or I would like to think I completely accept myself.
TH – I feel frustrated
EB- I feel frustrated on a level of 8 or put in your number
OE – this 8 frustration
UE – this frustration
UN – this frustration
UL – this 8 frustration
CB – this frustration
UA – this 8 frustration
TH – this frustration
Take a deep breath and check in on your level of frustration or whatever the feeling was. Repeat as often as necessary.
