EFT/Tapping for Dental issues
The other day I had dental work done. I usually have no issues at the dentist, but while having two crowns replaced the sound of the drill put me in a bit of a panic.
I had been imagining myself on Myrtle Beach at night and has been quite content. But when I started to notice the noise and the fact I couldn’t easily swallow, I felt panicky.
I started to use imaginary tapping while I was in the chair, and within 2 minutes, I was calm and didn’t notice the sound of the drill as much. I just said to myself, “Even though the drill is loud, I am open to calm and peace.” After repeating this 3 times, I tapped on each point with the phrase, “The drill is loud and I am uncomfortable.” I imagined going around the points at least 2 times and I noticed the panic starting to ease. It really was less than 3 minutes!
I went further and did another round. This time I thought, “even though I am uncomfortable, I am calm and peaceful.” Again, I tapped the points, with the phrase “I am uncomfortable.” After that round or two, I was calm and peaceful. The rest of the dental work went pretty well.
I have done imaginary tapping previously like on planes or when I was in a place I didn’t have any privacy.
I suggest this to my clients on a regular basis as well as tapping on their favorite point. I have done that before as well and I just tap on my collar bone point without saying anything and any anxious feels dissipate fairly quickly.
EFT/tapping is the fastest stress reduction tool that I know of.
I can help you if you have some fears about going to the dentist or have been avoiding making your appt. There are also financial concerns that are a part of this. I can also teach you what to do in the moment but using EFT/Tapping is very beneficial before your appointment. I have worked with many people with this issue.
