Fear of Flying and using EFT
I recently flew back from Columbus Ohio and realized while I was flying that I didn’t have the anxiety I usually have while flying. When the plane had a little bit of turbulence and my body went up I realized I just went with the flow. What is going on? Ah, I knew the answer. EFT or tapping as it is commonly called.
No anxiety, no rush to my head, no heart palpitations. I also wasn’t eating like there was no tomorrow either. I ate the peanuts that I brought and pretzels that were offered but I didn’t have my usual hungry horrors. Or obsession or thoughts of when the flight attendant was coming around and asking for what we wanted for beverages.
I read, I relaxed with my eyes closed, and looked out the window. Now that I think of it, during the layover I didn’t grab just anything to keep myself occupied. Very interesting.
As I searched my memory, I realized I didn’t have the anxiety on a flight back from Florida in July either. I had driven down with my daughter and her family for a vacation and flew back the following week.
Prior to that, I had anxiety before flying, driving to the airport, during take off, landing and during turbulence, etc. It was something I always had and I always thought would have forever but not now!
On a flight in May of this year, I was flying back from Nashville Tennessee with some of my sisters after a family wedding. We had some bad turbulence and I started to use EFT and my younger sister followed my example and tapped right along with me.
We had some tough turbulence on that flight and the tapping helped us keep calm.
EFT is an amazing tool and is an example of what it can do fairly quickly and well!
